Our wounds of addiction, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and low self-esteem arise from painful life experiences and toxic environments. These wounds remain unhealed when we are not provided with the support and help we need for our healing to take place. My integrative counseling approach will incorporate your spiritual and cultural beliefs, and will examine how your community, race, gender, sexual orientation and religion have impacted who you are today.
We will work together to identify, face and begin healing your wounds as we explore solutions to help you find a productive and self-accepting path forward. We will utilize person-centered, psychodynamic, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems and EMDR techniques during our sessions to help you work through the pain of your past and present.
I will provide you with a safe, compassionate, supportive and non-judgmental environment to help you overcome feelings and thoughts of shame, guilt and fear. We will investigate the life experiences that have molded you into the person you are today, and we will discover viable ways to help you become more of the person you wish to be.
